Business: Questions to Ask in Your Next Business Meeting

Meetings can take up a great deal of time in the business world. It is important to take advantage of learning in meetings to make sure you’re playing a valuable part in improving your organization. I have been in meetings where I did not where to start with asking meaningful questions. As a result, I started a short list of questions that I refer to when I am looking for my role in a project or project clarity.
Question to Ask In Meetings
Cost
- What will be the cost to the project?
- What cost improvements are expected because of this change/project?
Process
- What is the scope of this process change?
- Does this project/data include XZY?
- How will this affect the current process?
- What are the long-term impacts to the process?
- Have you considered using the XYZ to prove your hypothesis?
- What is the best process to complete this action?
- Have the right people been engaged in this project?
- How will this work impact others?
Reporting
- What are the reporting impacts?
Technology
- What tools are available to improve the current process?
- How long will it take to implement the technology?
- Is the technology solution customizable or an out of the box solution?
Closing Statements/Questions
- When do you need a recommendation/feedback?
- What is the timeline for this project?
- Are the next steps clear to everyone?
